Together we drive change

The thrill of going off the beaten track is not without risks and that’s why ARB is proud to stand alongside the Harrison Payne Initiative (HPI). ARB is committed to promoting safe adventure for all ages and to help fund education programs, support services, and driver safety campaigns.

In May 2021, 18-year-old Harrison Payne tragically lost his life in a 4WD beach driving accident. Harrison was an adventurous, kind-hearted young man who loved the outdoors. His passing was preventable – and it inspired something powerful.

In his honour, the Harrison Payne Initiative was founded by his parents, Kent and Kylie, to advocate for safer off road practices, educate young drivers around risk taking, and support families impacted by similar tragedies.

Three Key Pillars for Change

The Strength to Change

The Strength to Change

This initiative calls for stronger legislation and enforcement around safe driving, especially when it comes to young drivers on the beach and in off road environments. By pushing for tougher penalties for those who drive recklessly, the HPI seeks to create a shift towards safer practices on the road.

Financial Support for Families

Financial Support for Families

Every cent raised by the HPI is directly donated to families who have been affected by similar tragedies. Whether it’s helping cover funeral costs, providing mental health support or assisting with everyday expenses, this aims to lessen the burden on families in their darkest hours.

Education and Awareness

Education and Awareness

At present, there is little to no formal education around driving on beaches or navigating off road terrain when obtaining a license. HPI is committed to filling this gap, striving to elevate driver education standards and better prepare the next generation for the realities of 4WD travel.

How can YOU help?

The HPI invites everyone to get involved by supporting their efforts to promote safe driving, educate young drivers and provide vital assistance to families in need. The HPI has merchandise available for sale, including t-shirts, caps, and water bottles, with all proceeds going directly to families.

Furthermore, their signature HKP03 stickers, which feature Harry’s numberplate help spark conversations about road and beach safety. By sporting one of these stickers, you’re not just honouring Harry’s legacy, you’re helping raise awareness about the importance of safe driving.
