With its rugged and versatile cargo surface, HardLid provides the perfect mounting platform for items that might be thrown on and lashed down as you leave town on a Friday night, or for items that you plan to mount permanently in position.
The HardLid features the same mounting system and hinge mechanism used in our Sportlid, meaning these crucial parts are tried, tested and proven.
ARB’s HardLid can be purchased on its own allowing room for customisation to suit your needs or the premium upgrade can be purchased in our Premium HardLid offering, where features include central locking, interior light and a set of premium rails.

HardLid’s aluminium skin, supported by a frame substructure, is intended to be good for both a high dynamic load of 150kg and total static mass suitable for rooftop tents.
The optional premium rail design speaks to the versatility and integration with ARB’s broader range of accessories. Whether you’re mounting a shovel holder, east-west cross rails or a BASE Rack, the rail delivers great results.
This clever hinge system opens the lid rearward and upward, away from the cabin, allowing ample clearance. The HardLid opens by a key lockable manual latch ensuring ultimate security.
Manufactured in Australia, Tailgate Assist incorporates two types of struts co-developed with world-leading gas strut manufacturer, Stabilis.
The passenger side damping strut helps to slowly lower the tailgate which, once opened, can be let go and continue to lower unassisted in a controlled manner. On the driver’s side of the tailgate, a gas-assisted traction strut helps to close the tailgate; making lifting easy and achievable with a simple one-handed motion.
Each kit comes with vehicle-specific hardware including mounting brackets and replacement tailgate cables and guide brackets where required, perfect for your MV Triton.
