Hotspot 1

Remote reservoir—6061 grade aluminium remote oil canister allows for increased oil volume, resulting in lower oil temperatures.

High temperature hose—Durable Dash 6 high temperature Teflon hose incorporates high flow fittings for optimum oil flow.

Spring seat—6061 grade aluminium spring seat.

X5K coil—High quality X5K grade steel coil, for use on coil over models, incorporates application specific design.

Spring adjustment—6061 grade aluminium adjustor allows adjustment of spring preload and ride height.

Spherical bearings—Large, Teflon lined spherical bearings.

Adjustor—External, independent rebound and compression adjustment allows fine tuning of ride comfort and control to suit varying vehicle and trip requirements.

Shock absorber body—51 mm bore, 6061 grade aluminium shock absorber body with type III, hard anodised finish for increased heat dissipation and corrosion resistance.

Piggy back clamp—Remote reservoir piggy back clamp allows easy connection of the remote oil reservoir to the main shock absorber body.

POSITION SENSITIVE DAMPING

Damping increases as you get closer to the end zone, meaning you’ll experience increased control at end zones and comfort at ride height.

Old Man Emu’s BP-51 high-performance bypass shock absorbers bring the latest in racing bypass technology to everyday 4WDers, giving the ability to customise their ride with user adjustable compression and rebound damping control while still being fully compatible with Old Man Emu springs and suspension related components.

The Old Man Emu BP-51 Suspension Kit delivers unparalleled comfort and control for your Ford Everest, whether on challenging off road tracks or cruising on the bitumen. Representing the pinnacle of 4x4 suspension performance, this kit features racing-derived internal bypass technology with user-adjustable damping.

Engineered and manufactured in-house by ARB, the BP-51 shock absorbers are crafted from aircraft-grade 6061 aluminium, ensuring superior heat dissipation and corrosion resistance. Its patented position-sensitive internal bypass damping provides a plush ride at normal height, progressively firming up to prevent harsh bottoming and topping-out.

This comprehensive system for the Ford Everest includes high-performance BP-51 coil-over shocks for the front and BP-51 shock absorbers for the rear, paired with precisely engineered Old Man Emu rear coil springs. These springs are made from state-of-the-art micro-alloyed spring steel for durability and superior resistance to sagging, with a rate of 46 N/mm and a height of 505mm for a balanced setup. All components work in harmony to provide an integrated suspension solution tailored to your vehicle's demands.

Key features of the BP-51 shocks include external rebound and compression adjusters, allowing you to fine-tune your vehicle's handling for varying loads and terrains. High-pressure nitrogen reservoirs and impact-resistant, replaceable shaft guards further enhance durability. Installation requires the reuse of original equipment front top hat, dirt shield, and bumpstop, along with the rear top damper forged bracket, bushes, dirt shield, bump stops, and fasteners.
